Police appeal following assault in Exwick

Police are investigating an assault in Exwick which is believed to have had a number of witnesses.

At around 11pm on Tuesday 30 January, an altercation took place outside Kinnerton Court, Kinnerton Way, Exwick, Exeter between two men and a woman.

A local man in his 40’s sustained a broken leg and bruising to his face during the incident.

Police arrested a man and a woman, both aged 35 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Both have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Job creation on the horizon for South West businesses

Hiring intentions in the South West are higher than the national average, with a net balance of 31 per cent of firms expecting to recruit more staff during the next year, according to the latest Business Barometer from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

Companies in the South West also expect a median annual increase in average pay of one to two per cent during 2018.

Firms reported slightly lower than average business prospects at 38 per cent, but marginally higher than average economic optimism at 32 per cent.

Devon and Cornwall Police have recently introduced Infrared ‘low Light’ camera technology within Plymouth and have now expanded their innovative equipment across the Force area.
