Beach cleans get a boost as insurance firms join forces to fund new stations

New beach clean stations will soon appear across the across the South West coastline and beyond, helping turn the tide on the plastic and debris polluting our beaches.

Devon-based holiday home insurance specialists Boshers have teamed up with Ecclesiastical to support the #2minutebeachclean initiative.

The firms will be providing £2,500 of funding to #2minutebeachclean as part of Ecclesiastical’s ‘Closer to You’ community programme with the proceeds going toward setting up a number of new beach clean stations.

On 8 March in Exeter, the national Right to Build Task Force announced a new partnership to support Custom and Self Build, with Teignbridge and its Greater Exeter Strategic Plan (GESP) Partners.

It is the first waste resource management organisation in the south of England to be awarded the BSI standard national quality mark, PAS 402. The Exeter branch of RGB Building Supplies is continuing its fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West with an Easter competition.

Between Monday 12th March and Monday 26th March, the branch is inviting customers to make a donation and guess how many mini eggs are in a tub for the chance to win a Marvellously Magnificent Easter egg from Thorntons.

Retirees reluctant to rest up

Baby Boomers’ work is never quite done as many continue to bolster businesses, charities and their families when they retire, according to new research from wealth manager Brewin Dolphin.
