To ensure the safety of people enjoying the Exe Estuary at the same time as protecting the rare and vulnerable wildlife, people are invited to have their say on a review of activity zones and codes of conduct in and around the Exe Estuary before the 28 April 2017.

People are being invited to share their views about the future use of this beautiful natural resource. The comments received will help to inform new voluntary exclusion zones and codes of conduct that will ensure people and wildlife continue to share and enjoy this special area for years to come.

Unique Exeter painting sold for fire fundraising

A painting depicting everyday life in Exeter’s Southernhay district has been auctioned to raise funds for a new cultural tribute after the Cathedral Yard fire.

Property Search Group wanted to bring together the city’s law firms to raise money by commissioning and auctioning the painting, created by Devon artist and illustrator Sara Nunan.

Solicitors and colleagues gathered at the Mercure Exeter Southgate on Thursday (March 30) for the auction, conducted by TV’s Homes under the Hammer auctioneer Scott Gray.

Exeter City staged another remarkable comeback as they scored two late goals to beat Mansfield Town at Field Mill.

Steve Evans' Stags had led from the 38th minute of the match as Mal Benning curled home, but a strong second-half performance saw City create numerous chances to get back into the match.
