The Devon-wide health and wellbeing charity, Westbank Community Health and Care, is delighted to welcome lawyer Henry Cross as its newest Trustee. Henry is a Senior Associate at Michelmores, specialising in employment law.

A father-of-two from Exeter, Henry already had a broad awareness of the charity when he met Westbank’s Head of Carers Services, Andy Hood, at a networking event a few years ago. Hendy Group has been recognised for its outstanding used car operations after being shortlisted for a national award.

The group – which has its Hendy Car Store in Exeter as well as its Hendy Honda and Hendy Iveco dealerships – has been shortlisted for the Used Car Dealer Group of the Year prize. The winner is set to be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in London later this month.

New vision for a £300m redevelopment in Exeter city centre receives backing

A new vision for a £300m redevelopment in Exeter city centre has been backed by councillors.

Members of the City Council’s Leisure Complex and Bus Station Programme Board approved the vision for the redevelopment at the bus station site.

They also backed an increased budget to build the state-of-the-art new Passivhaus leisure complex St Sidwell’s Point, and a new Exeter bus station, which are both being funded by the City Council.

A meeting of the full council will be asked to give final approval in December.
