Discrimination in the workplace is illegal in the UK under the Equality Act 2010, but a new survey suggests that UK employees believe there is still some way to go to improve equality in the workplace.

VBQ Speakers surveyed 1,000 UK adults who are currently employed in the UK to find out what they think about diversity in their workplace.

Half (50%) of those surveyed believed that women are under-represented in senior management roles. Women and men responded roughly the same to this question, with 51% and 47% respectively.

Most companies in the South West are set to increase their investment in technology following the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A survey carried out by Exeter-based IT support and tech strategy experts Timewade has revealed that nearly two thirds (63%) of companies have increased investment in the short term to deal with challenges including remote working, cyber security and protecting data, and 50% will continue to increase investment beyond the next 12 months.
