Local cafes around the area are vying for the title of Britain’s Best Cafe and everyone will get the chance to vote for their favourite. The national competition is being organised by SIG Roofing and its local branch, based in Exeter, formerly known as South West Roofing, will be supporting the cafes in their bid to win the title. When votes are counted at the end of October this year, 14 regional winners will be announced, with the national winner confirmed at the presentation event at the end of November. Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has confirmed England star Jack Nowell is likely to miss the start of the new 2016/17 season.

The 23-year-old, who was part of the victorious England side that won 3-0 against Australia this summer, recently underwent surgery on a thumb injury.

Whilst it is unclear at this stage just how long the Cornishman will be sidelined for, Baxter has already resigned himself to the fact that Nowell is likely to miss the three pre-season games, as well as the opening weeks of the Aviva Premiership campaign.
