The Devon-wide health and wellbeing charity, Westbank Community Health and Care, is delighted to welcome lawyer Henry Cross as its newest Trustee. Henry is a Senior Associate at Michelmores, specialising in employment law.

A father-of-two from Exeter, Henry already had a broad awareness of the charity when he met Westbank’s Head of Carers Services, Andy Hood, at a networking event a few years ago. Exeter College has once again been ranked as one of the top colleges in the country in FE Week’s annual NICDEX rankings. A pop-up, purpose-built house showcasing a range of assistive technology used to support vulnerable adults to live independently in their own homes went on display in Exeter last week.

Created by national learning disabilities charity Hft, the Smarthouse featured innovative, interactive technology, including a talking microwave, safety sensors to prevent flooding or injury, and finger-print activated door locks which replace the need for keys.
