Following the launch of a new payday lending customer charter , local charity, Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau, is releasing new figures demonstrating a worrying increase in the number of serious debt cases relating to payday loans.
The Citizens Advice service has seen a ten-fold increase in the proportion of clients receiving help with multiple debts which included a payday loan debt in the last four years. Devon County Council leader John Hart will switch on the lights on a special Christmas tree to mark the topping out of a world class outdoor education and training centre in Exeter.
The £5.6 million centre on Haven Banks has now reached its highest point with the completion of the 25-metre climbing tower.
