Composer/bandleader Mike Westbrook is back at the Barnfield this summer with an even bigger band and a brand new jazz entertainment. A Bigger Show has been described as a Jazz/Rock Oratorio. Kate Westbrook’s scenario uses the image of the fairground to examine, with irony, humour and high drama , the lot of Humankind in the age of the World-Wide-Web. The 22 piece ensemble involves 3 vocalists/actors, acoustic brass and saxophones, electronics and a double rhythm section.

Paul Morgan is the Organist Emeritus of Exeter Cathedral. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London and at Christ Church, Oxford where he was Organ Scholar. He moved to Exeter in 1969 as Assistant Organist under Lionel Dakers and was appointed Organist in 1999. Until its closure, Paul was a Lecturer in the Music Department of the University of Exeter and, for twenty years, Organs Adviser to the Exeter Diocesan Advisory Committee. David Davies is the Assistant Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral. Originally a native of Snowdonia in North Wales, David was educated at Eton College, Magdalen College, Oxford (where he was organ scholar), and Yale University.
