The headliners have been announced for this year’s Baring-Gould Folk Weekend in Devon and they include a mixture of nationally-acclaimed acts and well-known names from the South West’s thriving traditional music scene.

Hey, it was a fair enough text. I mean it’s not every day you accept an invite to a Tuesday night gig to watch a band billed as ‘the next big thing” and then find yourself on a farm in the middle of nowhere.

Fans of legendary UK rock band The Kinks are in for a treat at Exeter Corn Exchange on Wednesday 12 August.

Kast Off Kinks features former members of the band back together again to re-live the good times.

The line-up features Mick Avory (the band’s original drummer), John Dalton (who played with the band in the 60s and 70s) on bass and vocals, Ian Gibbons (from the 80s and 90s line up) on keyboards and vocals and Dave Clarke (formerly of the Beach Boys) on guitar and vocals.
