The Family Law Company appoints additional Shareholder

The Family Law Company has announced the appointment of experienced family law Solicitor Imran Khodabocus to Shareholder.

His appointment brings the number of Shareholders to ten, contributing to the firm’s succession planning strategy.

Khodabocus joined the specialist law firm in 2016. He now heads up the Domestic Abuse team, specialising in children and domestic abuse matters which are complex and sensitive. He also acts for children and grandparents in care proceedings.

Visit South Devon's tourism industry update

Visit South Devon's annual Tourism Industry Update will be held on Monday 23 November at the Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish.

Visit South Devon is the official tourism body for the South Hams and Teignbridge.

The event, which is aimed at tourist attractions, activity based businesses, accommodation providers and hospitality businesses, will update delegates on the state of the tourism industry in South Devon in 2015.

A major food company which was devastated by flooding is calling on other businesses to take action to prepare for severe weather.

Michelmores has risen seven places in The Lawyer's UK 200 Annual Report, achieving record turnover of £30.1 million for 2014/15 − a 15% increase on the previous financial year. The annual report, which ranks UK law firms by levels of turnover, placed the firm in 82nd position.

Michelmores has increased its international activity over the last 12 months, which now accounts for approximately 15% of total revenue. This has been supported by its involvement in YangTze Law, the UK's first wholly Chinese-owned law firm – an exciting new development for the firm.

Exeter Airport has been voted the best in class at this year’s Travel Agents Choice Awards which were entirely nominated by and voted for by UK travel agents and designed to identify and acknowledge the industry’s favourites.
