On 5th September, Exeter’s cultural venues will celebrate a new season of events taking place in the city.

The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter Cathedral, The Cygnet Theatre, Devon Libraries, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Exeter Phoenix and RAMM, will officially announce an exciting programme of events taking place between September and December at a launch party held at The Bike Shed Theatre.

Top names are heading to Bicton Arena International Horse Trials on August 19-21 including riders who are in action at the Rio Olympics.

Vulnerable men assaulted in Tiverton

Police are investigating an allegation of assault on two men with learning disabilities and their male carer in Tiverton.

The assault took place in People’s Park between 2.30-3pm on Wednesday 3rd August and it is believed that this was witnessed by several members of the public.

It’s alleged that a group of teenagers who had been in the park made a number of offensive comments towards the men with learning disabilities.

Devon and Cornwall Police have made an urgent appeal to the public to help them trace the movements and whereabouts of a 38-year-old Bulgarian woman.

Gergana Prodonova was reported missing on Monday 8th August after she has failed to turn up for work shifts over the weekend. She was last seen at a food store in Sidwell Street in Exeter at around 8pm on Thursday 4th August.

Gergana is 38 years old and is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, of slim build with long black hair.

Brexit having 'negligible effect' on housing market

Local cafes around the area are vying for the title of Britain’s Best Cafe and everyone will get the chance to vote for their favourite. The national competition is being organised by SIG Roofing and its local branch, based in Exeter, formerly known as South West Roofing, will be supporting the cafes in their bid to win the title.
