Alex Fisher says he cannot wait to turn out for the Grecians at St James Park after agreeing a deal to sign for Exeter City following his departure from Yeovil Town.

Alex, who began his early career with Oxford United before going on to play in Spain, Belgium and Italy, before having spells with Mansfield Town, Torquay United and Motherwell, is manager Matt Taylor’s fourth summer signing and is looking forward to getting started with City.

Patients highly rate the RD&E in CQC annual inpatient survey

Patients at the RD&E highly rate the services provided, according to survey results released this week.

The annual Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inpatient Survey looked at the care of 706 inpatients who were discharged from the RD&E in July 2018. Patients assessed the Trust on a variety of areas during their stay, including the time it took for patients to get a bed on the ward, the care received from clinical and non-clinical staff and their overall views of the care and services provided by the Trust.

Stagecoach bus companies across the UK are helping to support Armed Forces Day 2019. With events planned across the country, it is a chance to celebrate the great work of our Armed Forces. Stagecoach South West is offering free travel for armed forces personnel, as part of the Armed Forces Day celebrations.

Council commits to reopening Riverside pool in 2020 and says the facility will be better than ever 

Councillors have reaffirmed their commitment to reopening the pool at the Riverside Leisure Centre as soon as crucial repair works are completed.

Leading councillors took part in a site visit to see progress on work to repair major structural weaknesses at the building which were discovered following a major fire in 2017.

The on-site team explained how detailed surveys have found significant, major defects in the building which will require the roof structure and pool surround area to be rebuilt.

EXPERTS at a Devon domiciliary care company are offering people in the county advice on avoiding the onset of dementia this month (June 2019).
