A section of Old Rydon Lane in Exeter will be closed for five days next month while work is carried out to introduce a new cycle lane.
From Monday 9 December to Friday 13 December, Old Rydon Lane will be closed from Oaklea to the rear access of Sandy Park to enable the development of a one-way, contra-flow cycle lane.

Exeter Phoenix have announced exciting plans for creating a solar-powered auditorium, paving a greener future for the arts in Exeter.
If Exeter Phoenix can raise £3,000 by Monday 16th December, the M&S Energy Community Fund could grant the venue the additional funds needed to replace the existing auditorium lights with a greener LED lighting system. A record number of schools across Devon are taking part in this year’s Leg it to Lapland challenge.
Starting on Monday (25 November), over 5,000 children from 20 primary schools in the county will be collecting ‘leg miles’ for every human powered journey they make to and from school, in a bid to be the first to travel 2,100 miles - the equivalent distance from Devon to Lapland. Walking, cycling and scooting all count towards the goal.

The Lord Mayor officially opened the Festival of charity trees located on Roman Walk and announced that Multiple Sclerosis Society charity won best dressed tree.
The illuminated festival features 36 trees decorated by various local charities including Living Options, Princesshay’s charity of the year.
