Record demand for RWC2015 tickets

A total of 950,000 Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets were sold in the September general sale, with record levels of demand for tickets for pool and knock-out stage matches. Garden shed stolen but contents left

Police in Newton Abbot are appealing for information following the "unusual" theft of a complete garden shed.

The incident happened sometime between Friday 17 October and Tuesday 22 October, at an unoccupied house in Oliver Place, Heathfield, Newton Abbot. The shed was removed from the rear garden. The contents were left behind.

Exeter renewable expert SunGift Energy has collected a top national award, after being named the UK’s number one installer of solar panels.

The renewable energy specialist, which is based on Christow Road, Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, Exeter, picked up the Solar Power Portal Installer of the Year Award at a glittering ceremony, which was held at Birmingham’s NEC.

Increase in people seeking CAB advice

Local charity Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau has today published its latest advice trend statistics which show that in the first half of the financial year it helped 2,895 people directly with advice and information.

On average, clients with money problems have debts totaling £12,300.98, down by just over a £1,000 on the same period the previous year. However, with Christmas fast approaching, the charity expects to see a further increase in the New Year.

During National Adoption Week, Exeter firm WSP have challenged Parsons Brinckerhoff to the ultimate static cycle race to raise awareness and much needed funds to support families who have adopted in Exeter.

Members of both companies will take part in static bike race in the centre of Princesshay shopping centre on Wednesday 5 November.

The victorious office will be the one whose members cover the most miles during the day.
