Come along to your local RPSCA Shelter and enjoy a fun day of stalls, games and a dog show on Sunday 28 June from 11am until 4pm – all raising funds for the Shelter!

Little Valley Animal Shelter is based just outside Exeter at Black Hat Lane, Bakers Hill, Exeter EX2 9TA (just past Pocombe Bridge) and looks after abandoned or mistreated animals from the local area – dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rodents, birds and sometimes a few more unusual creatures!

The Shelter is not normally open to the public, so the charity’s annual Shelter Day is a rare opportunity to...

In the run up to Exeter’s outdoor cinema event Big Screen In The Park, the gnomes from Amelie have gone on holiday!

They can be found living it up in some of Exeter’s favourite locations, including cafes, independent shops and tourist destinations. So far the gnomes have been spotted in all kinds of places, from the cake display The Glorious Art House on Fore Street, to the book shelves of Exeter Central Library and hiding amongst the broad beans in The Real Food Store. Have your say on ward boundary proposals

Residents are being given the opportunity to have their say on the proposed changes to ward boundaries in Exeter.

On Friday and Saturday (26 and 27 June), between 10am and 4pm, officers from the City Council will be at the historic Guildhall in the High Street to discuss the Local Government Boundary Commission for England’s (LGBCE) recommendation for ward boundaries in Exeter, which are currently the subject of public consultation.

Plans displaying the proposals will be available, together with comment forms which local residents are being encouraged to return to the LGBCE...

Trainees from across Europe head for Devon

A Devon-based work placement company is preparing for its busiest summer yet with hundreds of trainees travelling to the South West from across Europe.

A record number of trainees, more than 220, will be welcomed by The Training Partnership (TTPL) in July. Another 75 will arrive in August.

The company, based at Torquay Innovation Centre, works with hundreds of Devon firms to provide placements in different sectors ranging from engineering and IT to tourism and retail.

Lydia Robinson has been found safe and well. Police have thanked the public for their help in finding her.

Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a 14-year-old who is missing from Bideford.

Lydia Robinson was last seen at an address in the town at lunchtime on Tuesday 23 June and officers are concerned for her welfare.
