Exeter event shines a light on ground-breaking diabetes research

Last night at Bootlegger, a watering hole in Exeter, two leading diabetes scientists gave pub-goers a run through of their latest research projects which are funded by Diabetes UK, with the aim of bringing cutting-edge science to the public in an informal setting.

Hoe! Hoe! Topsham’s Secret Gardens are about to be revealed

Final preparations are in hand for one of the events of the year in Topsham - the return of the town’s Secret Gardens event, back for the first time since 2018.

It takes place on June 11 between 1pm and 6pm.

Visitors and residents will have the unique opportunity to visit 14 ‘hidden gem’ gardens dotted around the estuary town. They are normally kept strictly private but for this event some have seen months of preparation ahead of the big day, when over 1,000 people are expected to tour the town.

The Berry Recruitment branch based in Exeter won a major award at a ceremony in London.

It was the annual conference of Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) held at the Royal Thames Yacht Club.
