Leading South West building services engineering company EX2 Group has welcomed three new apprentices this week, as they begin their professional training in Electrical Installation with Exeter College.

Christian, Alfie, and Harvey were welcomed to the Exeter offices by James Rayner (right), Project Manager. A UK-based business, recognised at the highest level for its role in protecting the public against Covid-19, is calling on motorists to wear forecourt hand-protection at the fuel pump as a first line of defence against new variants of Covid-19, including Omicron.

Proposals approved for next section of Teign Estuary Trail

Plans for the next section of the Teign Estuary Trail have been approved by Devon County Council’s Development Management Committee.

The decision is the latest positive announcement for the project after the development of the trail won the Excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure category at the recent Landscape Institute Awards.

Public urged to wait their turn as booster programme expands in Devon

This week the UK government announced the booster programme is being significantly expanded to fight the Omicron Covid-19 variant.

On Wednesday 24th November, in one of the worst incidents since 2014, 27 migrants lost their lives trying to cross the Channel. The group, who were travelling from Calais to Dover, were crammed onto a small inflatable dinghy in their attempt to reach the UK.

Plans to restore Exeter’s iconic Royal Clarence building and bring life back to this much-loved historic landmark in the heart of the city are being unveiled today.
