Here’s how to bag £1,000 worth of jewellery this Christmas… you just have to show someone in Exeter you love them!
A local jeweller is spreading the love this Christmas as it announces a search for Exeter’s ultimate ‘love language’.
Beaverbrooks in Princesshay is giving local people a chance to show how they express their love for a partner, family member or friend, with £1,000 worth of sparkling jewellery up for grabs for the most heart-felt stories.
The jeweller has announced the search after revealing that only 43 per cent of Brits say ‘I love you’ to their nearest and dearest every day, with 55 per cent struggling to find the words to say how much they care about someone.
The research also showed the range of things people do to express how they are feeling when they can’t say it out loud, from trying to make them laugh (33 per cent), to cooking their favourite meal (29 per cent) or simply saying thank you for everything they do (37 per cent).
To encourage people in Exeter to show their loved ones they care this festive season, the jeweller is encouraging people to reveal their personal ‘love language’, for a chance to receive a special Christmas gift from the store.
The most heart-warming entries will also get the chance to feature on the jeweller’s marketing channels over the festive season.
To be in with a chance of bagging the sparkly gift just in time for Christmas, all Exeter people need to do is visit the jeweller’s website at www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/love-languagebefore 5pm on Wednesday 8 December and explain in 100 words or less how they express their love to a partner, family member or friend.
Ned Giongo, store manager at Beaverbrooks Exeter, said: “Showing someone close to you that you care is really important, but it seems many people have a difficult time telling friends, family – and even their own partners – that they love them.
“There are so many different ways to express how you’re feeling, and sometimes a simple action or gesture can be a great way to show someone you care when you just can’t find the words.
“That’s why we’re on a mission to reveal Exeter’s ultimate love language, by finding the personal and heart-felt ways people express their love to their nearest and dearest.
“Whether it’s making your partner a cup of tea in the morning, or leaving special messages in the kids’ lunch boxes – there are so many ways to communicate love – and we want to hear them!”
