Leading South West building services engineering company EX2 Group has welcomed three new apprentices this week, as they begin their professional training in Electrical Installation with Exeter College.

Christian, Alfie, and Harvey were welcomed to the Exeter offices by James Rayner (right), Project Manager. The apprentices will combine on-site experience with classroom learning as they work towards their Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications. Most in need communities will have their 20mph requests 'considered first'

A new way of considering 20mph speed limit requests has been approved by Cabinet, and it will help ensure that the communities that would most benefit from lower vehicle speeds are considered first.

Devon County Council’s (DCC) Cabinet (Wednesday December 8) also identified a budget of £100,000 to process the requests for the upcoming financial year.

Currently, all requests by communities and councillors for 20mph speed limits are put onto a long waiting list.

Exeter Corn Exchange was one of just a handful of venues that was able to present a professional pantomime in 2020, and its acclaimed production of 'The Wizard of Oz' ran safely and with great joy for 32 performances until the run was ended abruptly by the sudden imposition of national lockdown.

More than 30 jobs are set to be created in Exeter after a major UK builders merchant revealed that it will open a new branch next year.
