New data published by card payment provider, Paymentsense , has revealed which UK cities spend the most money when they visit the hairdressers, salon or barbers!

Devon Air Ambulance's H145 Helicopter, G-DAAS has been parked on the Derriford Hospital Helipad since the afternoon of Saturday 8 January. This is as a result of damage the aircraft sustained during a HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) task on Dartmoor.

The aircraft skid was damaged during the landing on the moor, probably as a result of impact with a sub-surface rock; the damage only became apparent after the patient whom the crew were called to assist, was safely transferred to Derriford Hospital.

Foot Anstey launches work experience programmes to find a new generation of lawyers

Foot Anstey LLP, the national law firm, has announced the launch of two new work experience programmes dedicated to activating and accelerating a new generation of lawyers and helping create more diversity in the profession.

Aldi has supported local charities, community groups and food banks in Devon by donating 9,350 meals to people in need this Christmas.

The supermarket paired up its stores with local organisations to make the most of unsold fresh and chilled food after stores closed on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, as part of its pledge to donate 1.8 million meals to families experiencing food poverty during November and December.

Around 550,000 meals were donated nationwide and more than 700 UK causes benefitted from the initiative over the festive period.

At 83, Gill Cree thought her acting days were behind her, yet she is now part of a cast who will involve audiences in an innovative play designed to share understanding of the experience of living with dementia.

Residents at RMBI Care Co. Home Cadogan Court, in Exeter, were all of a flutter this week when some friendly feathered visitors came to visit.

Echo the European Eagle owl, Chestnut the Tawny owl, and Barley the Barn owl were among the guests. Delighted residents loved meeting them and learning all about them from Richard and Sharon Beech, owners of Hawkridge Bird of Prey Centre.
