Teddy Swims to headline TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham 2026

GRAMMY nominated vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims today announces a run of outdoor shows and festivals across the UK and Ireland for summer 2026 including a date in the Devon countryside.

The international chart-topper will head to TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham on Thursday June 25 as the latest headline artist announced for the live music event.

Cumberland Grange Care Home in Exeter are supporting Exeter’s Remade Charity’s new ‘Sew it, don’t throw it’ project which is open to the local community to go along and join.

Remade is a new project funded by the European Social fund for those who are registered unemployed or economically inactive and looking to move into employment, self-employment or education.

Family-run Darts Farm, based just outside Exeter, officially launched its brand new restaurant, The Farm Table, and its new Terrace Bar on Friday 15th July 2022, adding yet more reasons to visit this award-winning destination that celebrates local food and drink.

A former assistant to outgoing Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw will be Labour’s next parliamentary candidate in the city.

Steve Race, who is a currently a councillor in Hackney, a London borough, defeated three other shortlisted candidates in a vote of Exeter Labour Party members on Saturday [16 July].

Mr Bradshaw, the city’s representative since 1997, announced in February that he will not be seeking re-election when the UK chooses its next government.

Participants across the country are being invited to sign up to the Leukaemia Care Step Out Challenge for Spot Leukaemia, which launches this September.

Artist and doctor sisters co-author art book promoting wellbeing through creativity

An artist and doctor family team have co-authored an art book due to be published later in June aimed at promoting readers’ wellbeing and mental health through creativity.

Full-time artist, Emily Powell, and her GP sister, Dr Sarah Moore, both from Devon, have combined their affinity for art and wellbeing and produced a book to get the nation painting. As an artist, Emily is renowned for her uplifting pieces and her strong command of colour. Sarah is an Exeter-based GP who also does research at the University of Exeter, where she specialises in early cancer diagnosis.

Grace Bradley from The Family Law Company is celebrating after being named the Family Law Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year at the national Legal Aid Awards.

Senior Associate Solicitor Grace was recognised for her work representing legal aid clients in the UK and abroad. Most of her cases are complex and involve issues including domestic violence and international elements such as immigration. Grace utilises her linguistic skills to represent clients with little or no English who have an uphill struggle to access justice.
