In July EX2 Group was proud to support Building Greater Exeter’s Work Experience Week, an inspiring initiative aimed at introducing Year 10 students to careers in the built environment.

EX2 group team member James Rayner TMIET, led an engaging hands-on solar masterclass for Year 10 students from the Ted Wragg Trust.

Recycle Devon continues its series of public, free to attend repair, refurbishment and upcycling events to take place throughout 2015. The events will pass on skills and ideas to keep bikes, electrical goods, furniture, clothes and other textiles from going to waste.

A range of FREE to attend workshops designed to help residents upcycle their old furniture and household items starts on Saturday 6th June

Despite British farmers producing 60% of the food we eat in this country, many consumers are unsure of what we actually grow in Britain according to a new survey released this week, with many unaware we grow staple foods like potatoes, apples and oats.

Shelter analysis reveals SW threat hotspots

Alarming new figures from housing charity Shelter have revealed almost 500 people in the South West were put at risk of losing their home every week in the last year. In an analysis of statistics from the Ministry of Justice, the charity identified how many people are at risk of eviction and repossession as well as the ‘home threat hotspots’ across the South West where people are most likely to face the risk of losing their home. With the general election now over, haart estate agents in Exeter is predicting demand for property in the area to increase, creating a potential sharp rise in prices. Latest figures from haart’s monthly Property Index show that there’s already demand for homes in the city, with an average of nine buyers for each property on the books of its Paris Street branch. For the third year, Devon based Solicitors, Gilbert Stephens, is entering a team for the Nello, as well as sponsoring the event and supplying a band of volunteers to help on the day. On June 28th teams of cyclists will head off on the Nello 57 or 100 mile bike ride across the county, to raise much needed funds for FORCE cancer charity.

Boris, the stray cat who made his home at the Exeter hospice, is today enjoying a taste of family life – he’s been adopted by a Hospiscare nurse!

The ginger Tom used to climb through open windows at Hospiscare’s Dryden Road centre and it was only when nurses noticed he was losing weight that they decided to take him to the vets to find his owner.

A scan revealed Boris was chipped but unfortunately his owner was unable to take him back.

First trains arrive at Newcourt Station
