Tourist leaders and providers in Devon have been given a sneak-preview of a major new visitor attraction which, when it opens in June, should help reaffirm the county’s position on the nation’s food map.

Produced by Château D’Esclans and sold in more than 100 countries, UK demand for Whispering Angel has increased 77% in the last five years. The wine has become the go-to rosé of Instagram. Over 51,000 posts include the hashtag #whisperingangel on Instagram — particularly impressive when you consider that #rosewine has around 606,000 posts.

The Three Wine Men South West Wine Festival with a Splash of Spirits (plus other delicious West Country drinks) in partnership with South West Wine School will be hosted by the legendary Oz Clarke OBE, the Sunday Telegraph’s drinks’ expert Susy Atkins and, the new face to watch on the wine scene, Tom Surgey.
