Exeter University Footlights presents Bandstand! Performing at the Exeter Northcott Theatre from 25th-28th January

Bandstand sees a group of WW2 veterans returning home and struggling to fit into their old lives whilst dealing with the lingering effects of the war. Forming a bond over their shared love of music, they form a swing band to compete in a national radio contest in New York City.

Footlights is Exeter's largest student musical theatre company who put on large-scale professional productions.

Details of the third annual Salcombe ‘Live’ music and comedy festival have been released. Starting on Friday 7th October and running until Sunday 9th October 2022, this free weekend of live entertainment will bring together famous faces from the world of folk, funk, swing, ska, jazz and blues music, alongside a smattering of stellar stand-up comedy artists, and entertainers.

After rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and sell-out shows in Bristol and Sheffield, Riddlestick Theatre bring their interactive musical comedy The Cabinet of Madame Fanny Du Thé to Exeter Phoenix for one night only on Sunday 28th April.

Their riotous show invites the audience to meet the eccentric 18th century explorer, Madame Fanny, and to take their pick from the weird and wonderful souvenirs in her cabinet of curiosities. Choral Music Through the Ages (Exeter Cathedral Choir)

A programme of music from medieval to modern showcasing Exeter Cathedral choir’s wide liturgical repertoire, including works from (or inspired by) our own 965 year-old Library and Archive.

The concert will include a performance of 'Flyht' by Nicholas O'Neill. This piece was composed for the 700th anniversary of Exeter College (Oxford) and sets to music selections from our own Exeter Book and other words by Samuel Wesley.
