Exeter University Footlights presents Bandstand! Performing at the Exeter Northcott Theatre from 25th-28th January
Bandstand sees a group of WW2 veterans returning home and struggling to fit into their old lives whilst dealing with the lingering effects of the war. Forming a bond over their shared love of music, they form a swing band to compete in a national radio contest in New York City.
Footlights is Exeter's largest student musical theatre company who put on large-scale professional productions.
Details of the third annual Salcombe ‘Live’ music and comedy festival have been released. A programme of music from medieval to modern showcasing Exeter Cathedral choir’s wide liturgical repertoire, including works from (or inspired by) our own 965 year-old Library and Archive.
The concert will include a performance of 'Flyht' by Nicholas O'Neill. This piece was composed for the 700th anniversary of Exeter College (Oxford) and sets to music selections from our own Exeter Book and other words by Samuel Wesley.
