Hele Rd closed overnight as wall collapses in St Davids

Police and Fire officers attended the scene of a large wall that collapsed in St Davids, Exeter. A 30-foot section of a wall 20-30 feet high came down onto the pavement and road at around 8pm yesterday evening (Thursday 22nd November).

The Fire Brigade made a thorough check with thermal imaging cameras before ascertaining that nobody had been caught under the rubble. Two Exeter Police officers included in honours list for long service

Police officers and staff from Devon and Cornwall Police have been honoured for their years of service at a special ceremony at Padbrook Park, Cullompton. Included in the honours list are Exeter-based Detective Constable Pippa Davies and Fingerprint Expert Emma Parsons.

The Book Shop on Crediton High Street took a big step towards a new social enterprise era on Saturday 17th November with the launch of the share issue to create Crediton Community Bookshop.
