Baroque Venice in all its musical glory will be brought to life in Exeter Cathedral on 18 March with a large-scale performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers, conjured up by the combined forces of Exeter Philharmonic Choir, Devon County Junior Choir, top professional singers and the internationally renowned early music group, His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts.

"We are not a choir" say the ads that, for the past 10 years, have been attracting people to Forever Young Sing for Fun.

Many people who come also sing with formal choirs but like the informal Sing for Fun sessions.

Early in 2007, the new St Sidwell's School, York Road, Exeter opened its doors and Forever Young were the first community group to use the new hall.

Semi-Toned make final of national TV singing quest

The University of Exeter’s a cappella group Semi-Toned is in the final of Gareth Malone’s TV search for the nation’s most talented and entertaining amateur choir.

The all-male group is one of just three choirs to make it through to the final of The Choir: Gareth’s Best in Britain.

Youngsters who love singing are being offered a wonderful chance to spend a day with Exeter Cathedral’s Choristers at a special event next month. Open Mic UK’s 2015 auditions begin in two months.

The national music competition Open Mic UK is the biggest search for unsigned artists in the UK and it’s calling all singers, singer-songwriters, vocal groups, rappers and solo artists to get involved in their singing auditions which begin in August. Godspell, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz’ legendary rock musical is back.

Following the enormous success of 2014’s gala performance at London’s Shaftesbury Avenue’s Lyric Theatre, in support of the charity Make-A-Wish-Foundation®UK, Godspell In Concert is set to tour the UK in 2015, opening at the Hackney Empire on 4 April.
