The East Devon Countryside Team Education Rangers are about to start a busy summer spent outdoors.
Over the summer term the rangers will be running more than 50 visits to East Devon District Council's nature reserves, beaches and other sites across the area, and over 30 of these visits are to EDDC’s Seaton Wetlands site. An Exeter school and two others in the South West have received malicious calls, police have said this evening.
Although they were all hoaxes, officers are taking the incidents seriously.

Exeter School's F1 in Schools team, Burning Rubber, has won a place in the National Final of the STEM competition which takes place on Wednesday 20 April.
The team of six Year 10 pupils took four prizes at the F1 in Schools South West Regional Final held at Exeter University on Tuesday 1 March.

Chancellor George Osborne is expected to use his Budget speech to call for an extension to school days.
Schools will be able to bid for funding for extra activities like sport and art.
Mr Osborne's will also pledge that every school in England will be removed from local authority control.
Schools will either have to have converted by 2020 or have an academy order in place by then.
