An Exeter church which is distributing over 700 Christmas food hampers, says it has been overwhelmed at the requests for help across the community.

Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, Exeter, has run the hamper project every year for the last 8 years to help people who are struggling and in need, but this they’ve been inundated with requests for help, as people struggle to make ends meet, as the cost of a weekly food shop continues to increase.

A church in Exeter which gives out Christmas Hampers of food to people in need, say they’ve received requests to help people earlier than EVER before running the project.

Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, for the last 6 years have been distributing hampers of food across December to individuals, couples and families, who are struggling financially, as well as those experiencing unemployment, and others who have faced a difficult year, such as bereavement.

The sunshine is out, but it’s never too early to think about Christmas!

Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, Exeter, each year puts together hampers packed full of food to give out to people in need during the festive season.

We all know during the Christmas season it can be tough on finances, and these hampers are a much needed boost and relief to help people get by, bringing a smile to people’s faces.

Last year, they gave out a huge 1300+ hampers to families and individuals. A number of these were personally delivered to households.

Devon Church sends out a 1,000 Christmas Hampers to people in need and require tea/coffee donations

It has been a difficult year for so many, and Rediscover Church in Exeter aims to spread Christmas cheer across the city by distributing about a 1,000 Christmas hampers to those in need.
