Police in Cullompton are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in the Town. The incident occurred in Middle Mill Lane, Cullompton, between 11.30pm and midnight on Sunday 25th May. A 19yr old woman was walking down Middle Mill Lane, Cullompton, from the High Street, towards the Tesco Superstore when she was pushed from behind by a man.

She fell to the floor and whilst there the man grabbed her handbag. He then rifled through the bag briefly, removing a bank card and threw the bag back on to the floor before making off from the scene. The victim received only minor grazing to...

Coach crash victims named

Two women who died in a coach in Cornwall have been named locally as Margaret Luxton and Carol Mundoon. The women died when the coach they were travelling in hit a wall on the A387 near Looe on Tuesday 13 May. 13 people were hospitalised by injuries received in the crash but have now been discharged. Others with minor injuries were assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene. The coach was hired for a trip organised by Exmouth Age Concern. Thousands stolen in Pinhoe bank raid

Police are investigating a Burglary which took place at Lloyds TSB bank at Pinhoe, Exeter over the weekend between Sunday evening and the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers were called by staff at 11.45am on Monday, 26th May and attended Lloyds Bank, Main Road.

Thieve(s) had entered the bank through the roof and stole a large quantity of cash, believed to be in the tens of thousands, from the cashpoint.

Officers are currently carrying out enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone with information.

'Massive' reduction in Child arrests in Devon and Cornwall

The number of children arrested by Devon and Cornwall police has been cut by nearly 75% in the last five years according to a new report released today.

The report from the Howard League for Penal Reform, a national charity, says that the number of children arrested fell from 5,495 to 1,431 between 2008 and 2013.

Woman rushed to RD&E after Tiverton collision

A woman has been rushed to RD&E hospital following a serious collision near Tiverton. Emergency services were called to the scene, near Tiverton Golf Club, at 8:37am this morning (Tuesday 27 May). Two vehicles were involved in the collision one of which had left the road and overturned in a field. One casualty was taken by ambulance to RD&E hospitial to be treated for head and chest injuries. Post Hill is currently closed in both directions between the Uplowman Road junction and the Crown Hill junction. A male casualty was treated for injuries at the scene.

Appeal after Aylesbeare robbery

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a home in Aylesbeare, Exeter, on Saturday (10 May). Offenders forced a door to get inside the home sometime between 9.30am and 7pm. After making an untidy search of the house, they stole a black laptop, a still camera and a £1,500 projector, various items of jewellery and a brass compass in a box.
