Police have created a Major Incident Public Reporting (MIPP) page as part of the investigation into the murder of a 74-year-old woman in Ludwell Valley Park in Exeter on Saturday 18 February.

The MIPP allows members of the public who may have information to directly send large files such as Doorbell, CCTV and Dashcam footage that could assist in a police investigation.

Police have this evening arrested a man in connection to a murder in Exeter.

Police were called at around 4pm on Saturday 18 February following reports of a woman having been seriously assaulted in Ludwell Valley Park, in the Wonford area of Exeter.

Kate Bushell murder appeal brings new lines of enquiry

Detectives investigating the 1997 murder of Exwick schoolgirl Kate Bushell are working on new lines of enquiry following an anniversary appeal.

The 14-year-old was killed on Saturday 15 November 1997 as she walked a neighbour’s dog near her home. Her body was found in a field off Exwick Lane; she had died from a savage knife wound to her throat.

Illegal vapes with a street value of approximately £7400 worth has been seized from a store in Plymouth following an operation by Trading Standards and Devon and Cornwall Police.

Appeal after cyclist is seriously injured in Exeter collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Exeter on Friday 11 November.

The incident happened in Longbrook Street at around 1.15pm.

It involved a white-coloured car and a male riding a grey pedal cycle.

The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where his condition remains critical.

Police appeal after large scale altercation in Exeter

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a large altercation in Exeter over the weekend that resulted in one person being hospitalised.

Police were called just after 1.30am on Sunday 23 October following reports of a large altercation involving around 30 people in the Guildhall area of Exeter City Centre.

Following this incident, a man was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with facial injuries.

Police are warning residents in Devon to be vigilant following a phone scam in which the caller is pretending to be a police officer.

Officers are currently investigating reports of a scam, one of which led to a woman in her 70s drawing out a substantial amount of money, but thankfully did not hand this over and instead contacted the police.

Another report has been received whereby an elderly man handed over £10,000.
