2013 has been a year of reunions. Some have resulted in reincarnations of former musical glory and some have been completely disastrous resurrections of pop music’s better-off dead. ITV’s reality sensation ‘The Big Reunion’ has paved the way for boy bands and girl groups from the 1990s to step back into the limelight for one last helping of fame and fortune.
On Thursday night Blue stopped off at the Plymouth Pavilions to perform to a sell-out crowd of their fans from the glory days alongside support acts Keedle and Loick Essien, as they travel around the country on their UK Tour....

This Friday’s Daniel O’Donnell concert at Plymouth Pavilions has been cancelled, along with the remainder of his UK tour.
Unfortunately, Daniel’s Father-in-law is critical in hospital with a suspected brain hemorrhage, and so understandably Daniel has had no choice but to cancel his shows, for which both Daniel and his management offer their sincere apologies.
A spokesperson for the Pavilions said: “Whilst this cancellation is at very short notice with the show only a few days away, we have extremely robust communication procedures in place and all customers that have...
Scientists may have taken the first steps in finding a treatment for conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. A study published in the journal Science Transitional Medicine claimed that researchers had managed to halt brain cell death in mice. Although potentially decades from a human application the study indicates that medicine which halts brain cell death is in the realms of possibility. The scientists induced a neurodegenerative condition in the mice using abnormal prion proteins which produces an approximation of human neurodegenerative disorders.

On Monday (16 September) over 60 delegates attended Mr Hogg's alcohol think tank, 'Action for Change'', at Plymouth's Mount Batten Centre to hear speakers from the licensed trade, the public and charitable sectors outline the impact any strategy would have...
