Leading property consultants Jones Lang LaSalle has secured outline consent for the redevelopment of the former St Loyes School House on Millbrook Lane.

The School House site is currently owned by the St. Loye’s Foundation and is located in one of the prime areas of Exeter along Topsham Road. The site has been standing empty for almost five years but now has consent for a residential scheme comprising five secluded dwellings, ranging from three bed to five bed units.

Local anger as EDDC to hear two applications for housing developments in Feniton

A newly formed East Devon campaign group is set to stage its first protest demonstration in Feniton on Saturday 23 March against "environmentally damaging new national planning regulations".

Public consultation on new housing strategy for the city

New research has revealed that the typical family takes 12 days, 14 hours and 13 minutes to organise Christmas.

From shopping, decorating the house and cooking Christmas dinner, mums and dads spend almost two weeks trying to makethe big day as special as possible.

The study by retailer Wilkinson found that the average British family begins organising and saving money for Christmas in August and one in seven start buying Christmas gifts in the January sales, almost a full 12 months in advance. A third leave it all until just four weeks beforehand.

1,000 new homes given the go ahead in Exeter

Plans for a combined total of almost 1,000 new homes in Exeter have been given the go-ahead by the City Council.

The homes were proposed in eight planning applications that were agreed at the two October meetings of the City Council’s Planning Committee.

The proposals include over 200 affordable homes and contributions to local infrastructure, such as roads and schools, through legal agreements and future New Homes Bonus exceeding £18 million.

LGA warns of pitfalls in relaxing planning rules
