Team Oxjam Exeter raised a magnificent £4,372.87 for Oxfam on Saturday 1st October, when 34 bands and artists played live across 3 stages at Timepiece Bar, Courtyard and Old Timers Bar in Exeter.

Exeter is just one of many town and cities all over the UK taking part in Oxjam music festivals this October.

Exents began at 2pm on the Saturday and continued rocking until 11pm; showcasing amazing talents from outstanding, local musicians including: Lionstar,

Chay Snowdon, Beaconfire, Boundless Brothers and Sadie Horler.

Oxjam Exeter to host Buskathon

Oxjam Exeter’s 2nd fundraiser, the Live Below the Line challenge, had outstanding success; raising over £1300 – much more than they ever expected.

The whole team struggled through the challenge, feeling hungrier each day. But the generous donations from many kind people was great motivation.

On Saturday 1st October, Exeter’s 4th Oxjam music festival will be buzzing through the walls of Timepiece Bar, Timepiece Courtyard and Old Timers Bar.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Oxfam’s national music festival, Oxjam, and the team of eager volunteers are already working as hard as ever to make Exeter’s Takeover the best yet!

To help make Oxjam Exeter Takeover a success, the volunteers are currently organising a series of fun, exciting and even challenging fundraising events, including: a Buskathon with a number of talented, local artists; a pre Oxjam ‘warm up’...

Oxjam Exeter Takeover is delighted to announce tickets are now on sale. This year the main event is being held at Exeter Castle who is also hosting their own Exeter Castle Festival of Rugby. It means that Exeter music and rugby fans can be raising money for Oxfam, whilst enjoying Rugby World Cup Games on a large screen and an eclectic mix of Devon’s emerging, musical talent performing on the main stage.

Oxjam music festival takes over Exeter to raise funds for Oxfam

Over £2,750 was raised for Oxfam last weekend, when 60 artists and bands played live across Exeter for The Exeter Daily-sponsored music festival, Oxjam Exeter Takeover.

Exeter was just one of up to 60 towns and cities across the UK that took part in the festival, all on the same weekend.

Events began at midday on Saturday and included acts performing in Princesshay, the Guildhall Shopping Centre and Exeter Phoenix.
