On Saturday 1st October, Exeter’s 4th Oxjam music festival will be buzzing through the walls of Timepiece Bar, Timepiece Courtyard and Old Timers Bar.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Oxfam’s national music festival, Oxjam, and the team of eager volunteers are already working as hard as ever to make Exeter’s Takeover the best yet!

To help make Oxjam Exeter Takeover a success, the volunteers are currently organising a series of fun, exciting and even challenging fundraising events, including: a Buskathon with a number of talented, local artists;  a pre Oxjam ‘warm up’ gig at the Bikeshed Theatre; and even testing the  limits of the team with a Live Below the Line challenge.

But before any of this excitement commences, the first fundraising event to start bringing in the bucks is a bowling night at Exeter’s Tenpin bowling.

On Wednesday 13th July,  at 6:30pm, Oxjam Exeter are welcoming teams of 6 from local businesses, friends, family and anyone who wants to test their skills in the lanes, to join Oxjam Exeter for a night of good old fashioned bowling to raise money for Oxfam and to ‘strike out poverty’.

Tickets are £12.50 per person for two games and are available from www.wegottickets.com/event/365278.

Any bands and musicians that are interested in performing, keep an eye out for the application form that will be available very soon at www.oxjamexetertakeover.org. In the meantime, for any bands and musicians who would like to show their interest or for more details, please contact Oxjam Exeter's Production Coordinator at hannaoxjamexeter@gmail.com
