Police are warning members of the public to be vigilant when buying items from free advertising sites such as Gumtree.

The warning comes after several incidents have been reported to police in the Exeter, Lympstone and Brixham areas.

Suspects have been advertising white goods for sale on internet websites and delivering the items to customers. However, when the items are delivered they are not of the description that was advertised on the adverts.

Researchers from the University of Exeter have launched a large-scale research study to improve understanding of treatments that are currently offered to people with depression. The aim of the trial is to develop stronger, more effective and more widely available treatments.
