Police in Newton Abbot are appealing for information following an incident of indecent exposure in the town. The incident happened at around 8.45am on Tuesday 29 July within the grounds of All Saints Parish Church in Highweek. Police received a report from a female witness that a man had been seen standing within the church grounds performing an indecent act. He is described as white, in his early thirties, around 5ft 8ins, of athletic and toned build, tanned, with short dark hair. Furniture salesman retires after 26 years

A furniture salesman plans to devote more time to fishing and his family as he retires after 26 years in the business.

Peter Short, aged 64, who joined Fairway Furniture’s Newton Abbot store in March 1988, retired on Saturday (June 28).
