The EDBI (East Devon Business Initiative) held it's AGM on Friday 2nd November and appointed Peter Chubb as it's new Chairman. Peter gladly accepted his new role and looks forward to working with a vibrant new committee over the coming year as the group continues to expand and grow rapidly. Peter Chubb owns Chubb Contractors in Exmouth and is thrilled to be expanding his business and is now the owner of the brand new Kitchen Studio which will be opening soon in Exmouth on Pound Lane.
The East Devon Business Initiative (EDBI) is a non-profit making, networking and referral group made up of enterprising small and medium sized businesses in the East Devon and Exeter areas.

EDBI (East Devon Business Initiative) are hosting their annual BIG Breakfast on Friday November 16th at Woodbury Park. This is a chance for business owners from Exeter and the East Devon area to come along and find about more about why we are one of the fastest growing networking groups in Devon. The Big Breakfast starts at 7.30am and runs until 11am with a presentation from the EDBI, Neil Parish MP will be speaking, the choice of a Continental or Full English Breakfast and the chance to network amongst fellow business owners.
Over 70 decision makers from the local business community attended the autumn Business Networking (SW) lunch held at The Lord Haldon Hotel, Dunchideock. Guests were welcomed with a glass of wine and enjoyed a two-course sit-down lunch followed by a presentation from Chris Wood of Q Social Media Limited. There was also a free pre-lunch seminar on The Courts System hosted by Richard Blair, Partner at WBW Solicitors, Exeter.

Following the huge success of the 2012 Exeter Business Games, businesses in Exeter are being encouraged to register for the 2013 Games.
24 teams from Exeter-based businesses took part in the 2012 games and with matched funding from Thomson Reuters, this year’s participants raised over £5000 for local charity The Exeter Foundation.
The inaugural Business Expo ‘Business Gives Back’ held at Exeter Racecourse in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) during ‘National Air Ambulance Week’ is confirmed as a resounding success by organisers, thebestofexeter.
More than 400 delegates had the opportunity to visit local business exhibition stands and seminars presented by key-note speakers chaired by Derek Philips, with one-to-one business clinics in The Business Advice Centre.
