The new lights will be illuminated from Thursday 16th November, switched on by Worldbeaters act SPARK! who will officially start the countdown to Christmas.
Visitors to Princesshay will be able to explore the spectacular lights across the centre including magical Angel Wings next to the city’s historic Roman Wall, Santa’s Sleigh, perfect for festive family moments, and a giant Christmas Tree in Princesshay Square.

Volunteers in the east Devon town of Topsham are dusting off the decorations ahead of a spectacular programme of Christmas events ranging from lights and stilt-walking entertainers to a unique market featuring dozens of artisan stalls.
The programme begins on Friday November 25 with three major events in the town.
The first is The Big Switch On , a half hour of entertainment between 4.30pm and 5pm at the town’s Matthews Hall - there will be festive food, music, a Town Crier in full illuminated regalia and spectacular stilt-walkers ahead of the lights countdown.
A donation hub has been set up for the first time in Princesshay as part of its Christmas 2020 charitable initiatives. The Giving Hub will occupy a unit on Roman Walk and will be collecting specific donations to support people who are homeless or vulnerably housed this Christmas.
Princesshay is working with the Exeter Homelessness Partnership to deliver the scheme.

Princesshay and Visit Exeter have announced dates for two large-scale street performances coming to the city centre this festive season.
The first of the two free shows is ‘Arco’, a magnificent fifteen minute display of acrobatics, performed to music from a 12 metre high inflated arch. For the second year in a row, Exeter Business Improvements District (BID) will hold the city’s Christmas lights switch on event with a huge party for all the family to enjoy scheduled to take place in Princesshay Square on Thursday 16 November.
