Exeter City’s legendary players to have a “seat” in the crowd at Wembley playoff game

Exeter City legends from the past century and beyond such as Dick Pym, Alan Banks and Adam Stansfield will have a seat ‘together’ at a game for the very first time at the club’s Wembley playoff match.

Measures introduced by the club to help fans attend the match in ‘virtual form’ means 12 much-loved players will join their fellow Grecians in the capital.

Thousands of Exeter City fans have paid to have their faces put on environmentally friendly cut-outs, which will be taken to Wembley and placed in the stands to create an audience with a difference.

Exeter City's matches postponed by EFL due to coronavirus

All professional football in England has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Exeter City's matches against Salford City (March 14), Scunthorpe United (March 17), Plymouth Argyle (March 23) and Bradford City (March 28) have been postponed following the the announcement this morning that all matches in the EFL have been postponed until April 3 at the earliest.

Exeter City FC released the following statement on their website:

Exeter City to take stand against homophobia at Crawley Town match

EXETER City will take another stand against homophobia at its match against Crawley Town tomorrow, Saturday, February 29 at St James Park.

The match has been designated as the club’s annual 'Football v Homophobia' fixture and a number of initiatives to mark the day have been organised by Exeter City Supporters’ Trust and its One Game One Community (OGOC) Group.

This will be the 11th time that an annual Exeter City home game has been designated as an FvH match.

A first minute opener from Vadaine Oliver and Sam Hoskins’ 80th-minute penalty gave Northampton Town all three points in this Sky Bet League Two encounter.

Following the completion of round two of the 2019/20 Leasing.com Trophy, Exeter City’s Dino Visser has been named as the player of the round. Following the completion of the group stages of the Leasing.com Trophy, Exeter topped their group after winning all three of their matches, including a 3-1 victory at home to West Ham U21s in the final group fixture.

Exeter City exited the Carabao Cup at the first round stage with a 4-1 defeat at St Andrew's against Coventry City.
