Exeter’s cultural organisations must “hold our nerve” and continue to drive cultural development according to a planning presentation by the Exeter Cultural Partnership.

Initiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, bishops across the country have been encouraged this week to pray for and visit community projects which address growing poverty in Britain.

As a response to this the Bishop of Crediton, Rt Revd Nick McKinnel, and Chair of the Methodist District, Revd Pete Pillinger, visited the Exeter hub of the Devon and Cornwall Food Association (DCFA) on 7 April.

Council offer 'behind-the-scenes' food hygiene tips

Restaurants and food businesses in Exeter are being offered behind-the-scenes tips on how to improve their food hygiene ratings.

Exeter City Council is holding sessions on running a food business and how to get a maximum 5 rating.

The sessions cost just £10 and aim to take the mystery out of food safety inspections. The next session will take place at the Civic Centre in Paris Street, Exeter, on Thursday 17 April from 10am until midday.
