The second Budleigh Salterton Food and Drink Festival kicks off at 5pm on Friday March 13th with a fantastic line up of culinary expertise from River Cottage HQ, McMillan’s Deli and award winning author Mark Diacono; live music will be provided by The Exmouth Shanty Men and the Ukulele Rat Pack.

The local beer festival will open proceedings and some tasty foodie delights will be on offer in the kitchen!

Sun shines on Ottery Food & Families Festival

Thousands flocked to Ottery for the second Food and Families Festival. The town centre was packed with people determined to make the most of the festival and they were rewarded with unending blue skies and culinary delights.

“We were blessed with an exceptionally sunny June day,” said Ruud Jansen Venneboer, one of the festival organisers.

“People came in their droves to celebrate all that is good about the region, and we were delighted to welcome so many first-time visitors to the town.”

The 2014 Ottery St Mary Food & Families Festival has attracted sponsorship from a number of high profile sponsors, from not only Devon but Cornwall as well.

The Skin Angels were out in force at the recent Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink, as they continued their quest to raise awareness of the importance of year round sun protection.

Skin Angels, set up in 2013 by Mariam Badavi from Exeter's Purity Boutique Spa, are on a mission to raise awareness of the importance of protecting skin from the sun, even on a cloudy day and aim to arm young people with knowledge about looking after their skin to prevent and treat skin conditions such as acne.
