Rolle centre opens for festival production

Rolle Exmouth Limited (REL) and Exmouth Town Council have secured permission from Plymouth University for the Four of Swords theatre company to put on a production of Jason and the Argonauts in the Owen Building at The Rolle Centre as part of the Exmouth Festival.

There will be 18 matinee and evening performances between 25th May and 6th June. The production will be promenade theatre leading audiences through the building so ticket numbers will be limited. The performances will be in the Owen Building.

Chagstock Festival announces first acts

Chagstock Festival, which takes place on 17 and 18 July this year, is one of the Westcountry’s best-loved festivals.

Set in 70 acres of farmland on the edge of Dartmoor, Chagstock is renowned for its stunning location, diverse line-up of artists and non-corporate, family friendly atmosphere. Chagstock showcases the very best music, food and entertainment that the Westcountry and the UK have to offer.

Garden festival promises to be bigger and better next year

Toby Buckland’s annual garden festival at Powderham Castle, Devon, is fast becoming recognised as one of the most important events of its kind in the South West, attracting celebrity gardening experts and providing an annual rendezvous for enthusiastic gardeners and award-winning regional nurseries.

A la Ronde Christmas Tree Festival

A la Ronde's Christmas Tree Festival is open each weekend from Sunday 30 November until Sunday 14 December.

Over 20 local community groups are decorating their own trees, including the British Legion poppy tree and driftwood creations as well as traditional trees. The event is something for all the family to enjoy with a festive trail, storytelling, live musical entertainment from the La La Choir and River City Chorus and hot drinks. There will also be seasonal crafts for which there will be a small charge of £1.50 per child.
