What makes Dawlish Air Show so special?

July and August bring many families and holidaymakers to D awlish Warren .

These visitors have chosen our county as a prime destination which will allow them to relax within the UK and enjoy something special at the same time.

Devon has become an enjoyable place to discover and explore. Since the unfortunate disaster and storm which battered Dawlish (full article here ) there has been an increase of activity.

Families have made Devon their place to go to, simply because it is not just about fields and green spaces.

Arthurian action with Gawain and The Green Knight in Exeter

Exeter based theatre company Four of Swords is not pausing for breath after two weeks of sold-out performances of Jason and The Argonauts at Exmouth Festival.

The company is reprising its Arthurian legend based family blockbuster Gawain and The Green Knight from 8 - 11 July at Poltimore House, the atmospheric semi-derelict country house on the outskirts of Exeter.


There are two performances a day at 7pm and 8.45pm. Tickets at just £12 are available from www.four-of-swords.com where you’ll find out more about the show.

Celebrate the end of the racing season

Celebrate the end of a great summer of racing and join Newton Abbot Racecourse for their last fixture of the year on Friday 10th October.

The gates will open at 12:20pm and the first race will be at 2:20pm. The last race is at 5:30pm.

Tickets are available to buy online until 5pm on Thursday 9th October. Tickets are priced at £18 for the Paddock Enclosure and £12 for the Course Enclosure. Tickets will be available to buy at the gate on the day.

Exeter Family Friendly appoints Chief Actuary

Healthcare and protection insurer Exeter Family Friendly has appointed David Cobley as its Chief Actuary in a newly created role.

The Exeter based mutual, one of the leading providers of income protection and private medical insurance, has created the executive position to head up its pricing and actuarial function.

Exeter Family Friendly calls on other local businesses to raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent on Wig Wednesday

Staff at Exeter Family Friendly in Exeter are set to don colourful wigs at work to help raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.

Exeter Family, who recently won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Exeter Business Awards, is taking part in Wig Wednesday on 22 May, which encourages schools, workplaces and groups of friends to wear a wig for a day and make a donation to CLIC Sargent.
