Fundraising volunteers from Exmouth RNLI are busy planning an open weekend at the Exmouth lifeboat station, Queens Drive, on 23 and 24 August.
The free event will be open between 10am and 4pm on both the Saturday and Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend. Dedicated members of the Exmouth Lifeboat Fundraising Team will be manning stalls and providing refreshments.

The planning application for a new, improved public slipway at Mamhead View, Exmouth, has been submitted and should be considered for approval before the end of the year.
The existing slipway had to be closed in August 2012 for public safety reasons. Surveys showed that the fill material supporting the concrete slab of the slipway had been scoured away.
Specialist consultants have been employed to examine options for a replacement slipway, and to carry out the necessary geotechnical and environmental surveys needed to support a planning application.
