Exmouth businessmen Marcus Di-Vincenzo and George Fereday have joined forces to create a new, pioneering renewable energy firm, MIG Renewable Technologies.

Work starts on Exmouth sea wall

An 80 tonne crane has taken up residence on Exmouth Pierhead as nearly £1 million of work starts to replace the sea wall.

This is the final element of infrastructure work in the redevelopment of Exmouth Quay.

The wall replacement is a necessary first step before construction work starts in earnest early next year on a five storey development of 14 waterside apartments.

Pensioner's 'unusual weed' was cannabis

A Devon pensioner discovered she was unwittingly growing a 5ft (1.5m) tall cannabis plant from a pack of bird seeds - after phoning a BBC Radio Devon phone-in programme.

Patricia Hewitson, from Exmouth, contacted the station's Sunday gardening programme asking for help identifying "a weed".

After discovering it was an illegal cannabis plant the police were involved.

Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed by two men in Exmouth.

At approximately 8pm on Sunday 14 September, a woman was robbed by two men on Moorfield Road, Exmouth. During the incident one man attempted to grab a mobile phone from the victims hand, whilst the other pulled her handbag from her shoulder. Exmouth Town win rearranged friendly

Town followed up a respectable league draw against Launceston on Saturday with a clinical win in this midweek friendly against lower division opponents.

The fixture was originally due to be played at Minster Park as part of pre-season, but was postponed due to heavy rainfall.
