Tractor stolen from The Donkey Sanctuary

The Devon based charity, The Donkey Sanctuary, has had one of its John Deere tractors stolen between 3:30pm on Saturday 25 November and 9:00am on Sunday 26 November.

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the theft of the John Deere 6220 Loader Tractor, registration number, WA06 FVO. The tractor has a bucket on the front and a new scraper on the back.

Magdalen Road Christmas Fair

The popular Christmas Fair returns for the seventh year.

The road will be closed and the fantastic shops and restaurants of Magdalen Road will spill out onto the street, joined by 50 stalls from all over the West Country.

There will be street-food, drink, live entertainment from bands and singers, fairground rides, presents to buy, music, hot wine and lots of other Christmassy food and much jollity.

It is a real community event which attracts thousands of people from all over the City.

Overnight closures on Bridge Road in Exeter this week

Overnight closures are planned for Bridge Road in Exeter over two evenings this week.

The road will be closed overnight from 8.30pm tonight (Tuesday 28 November) to 5.30am tomorrow morning, and during the same hours overnight tomorrow evening (Wednesday 29 November). The closures will enable work to be carried out on bridge expansion joints, as well as resurfacing and drainage cleaning. The work is weather dependant. Jaw-dropping new street shows come to Princesshay

Princesshay and Visit Exeter have announced dates for two large-scale street performances coming to the city centre this festive season.

The first of the two free shows is ‘Arco’, a magnificent fifteen minute display of acrobatics, performed to music from a 12 metre high inflated arch. Three 15 minute performances starting at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm will wow shoppers in Princesshay Square Thursday 30th November. The giant arch features its own light show, changing colour while framing the amazing aerial performer.

Bicton Arena in East Devon has announced a roster of new sponsors for the 2018 season with April’s International competition and its July grassroots– both run under the British Eventing banner – already full. Long term partners have agreed to carry on their support and new sponsors coming on board.

Exeter University Concert Band Christmas Concert

Exeter University Concert Band invites you to their annual Christmas Concert on Saturday 2nd December at 7pm in St Margaret's Church, Topsham.

The band will be performing a variety of pieces, including lots of well-known scores from stage and screen, some classical wind band numbers, and of course some festive tunes to get everyone in the spirit of Christmas.

Tickets are £5 and £3 for concessions, available to purchase on the door.
