Families for Children, Chief Executive Caroline Davis, OBE, has received a Lifetime Achievement award for her services to children and adoption in the South West. Caroline beat off three others worthy contenders from across the UK to be awarded the Gareth Marr Lifetime Achievement Award the National Adoption Week awards in London.

National late night bar and club operator, The Deltic Group has today announced its acquisition of The Terrace rooftop bar and club lounge in Exeter, from its current owner for an undisclosed sum. The venue, in the heart of the city’s shopping centre on Queen Street, which has a strong reputation for its food, drinks and club nights, will continue to be managed and operated by Deltic in its existing format. Hospiscare Men’s Walk – raising more funds than ever before

Hundreds of men braved the plunging temperatures and snow flurries on Saturday to step it out in Hospiscare’s Men’s Walk 2018. Some 900 men – 250 more than last year – signed up for the challenge, making it Hospiscare’s most successful Men’s Walk ever.

Temperatures may have been low but spirits were high as the walkers set off from the Double Locks pub, while along the route they were buoyed by the enthusiastic support and encouragement of a team of stalwart volunteers. Golden hopes for Devon’s Natalie Chestney at Commonwealth Games

Final preparations are well underway for Luscombe Drinks’ export manager and international lawn bowler, Natalie Chestney, as she travels to Australia’s Gold Coast in search of success at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
