New chairman for major South West housebuilder

Persimmon Homes has promoted one of its own to a major new role within the company.

A stalwart of the housebuilding industry, Julian Roper has been appointed by Persimmon Homes to be chairman of its South West division.

Julian had recently been Regional Managing Director of the region having served as Managing Director of the five-star developer’s Wessex business since 2020.

Exeter's annual charity fireworks event returns

Devon Air Ambulance is delighted that Exeter Round Table has chosen to continue supporting the charity with this popular event for 2024.

The event takes place at Westpoint Arena this Saturday, 2nd November.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is urging people across the region to enjoy a fun, but safe Halloween.

The service is sharing some important safety advice for those who will be out trick-or-treating or celebrating the spooky event on Thursday 31 October.

Exeter veteran to join Cenotaph march-past in charity delegation

A former RAF Police dog handler, originally from Exeter, is one of 44 veterans, carers, and staff from Help for Heroes, who will pay tribute to their fallen comrades by joining the Cenotaph march-past on Remembrance Sunday (10 November), in London.

In total, 33 veterans who have been supported by the Charity, will form part of Help for Heroes’ largest delegation yet to attend the annual parade, which sees 10,000 members of the veteran community marching shoulder to shoulder in an act of remembrance along Whitehall.
