As Covid 19 put paid to traditional work experience for many school leavers and graduates, leading recruiter Acorn is pointing those looking for some on the job training to the burgeoning temporary jobs market.

The temporary jobs market is often seen by some as a last resort, but with data from Office of National Statistics (ONS), showing that people who have spent more time out of work are less likely to find a job, it seems that a temporary post could be the answer for many looking to add to their CV.

Three Loganair services make debut to boost Exeter connectivity with North East and Scotland

A fourth to Norwich will follow Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh in July

Loganair, the UK's largest regional airline, has commenced three services that have re-established Devon's connectivity with the North East and with Scotland's two largest cities.

The direct flights to and from Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh add to the restoration of domestic connectivity to and from Exeter lost through the collapse of Flybe in March 2020.

Taylor Wimpey is investing almost half a million pounds in Exeter's sporting stars of the future through the development of new facilities for Exeter College.

Charities in Exeter urged to bid for a £25,000 prize pot offered by insurance specialist

Charities in Exeter have a chance to win a share of a £25,000 prize pot offered by specialist charity insurer Ansvar’s Community Campaign.

Many good causes in the region have been struggling to raise funds during the pandemic and Ansvar, which has insured charities, churches and voluntary groups for more than 60 years, is offering help.

The money will be split three ways: £15,000 for the overall winner with £5,000 each going to two additional charities.
